Don't Miss a Minute of the Southland Tournament
KATY, Texas - College basketball fans will have several ways to follow the 2010 State Farm Southland Conference Basketball Tournament this week at the Merrell Center in Katy, Texas.
Play begins with the four women's quarterfinal games on Tuesday followed by the four men's quarterfinal games on Wednesday. All eight quarterfinal matchups will be available for free on SLC NOW, the streaming video portal on the conference's Web site, Southland.org.
The Southland Conference Television Network will televise the two women's semifinal games and the two men's semifinal games on Thursday. The first semifinal game tips off at 12:05 p.m. with the second one tipping at approximately 2:33 p.m. or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game, whichever is later. Southland TV will stay on the air between games with the State Farm Tournament Show. Marc Vandermeer and Lyn Rollins will call the action for both women's games, while Randy McIlvoy will host the tournament show.
The network will come back on the air for the men's semifinal games that night. The first men's semifinal will start at 6:05 p.m. with the second game slated for an approximate start time of 8:33 p.m. Southland TV will stay on the air between the men's semifinal games as well with the State Farm Tournament Show. Doug Anderson and LaDarrin McLane will have the call of the men's games. McIlvoy will again host the tournament show.
The network will also televise the women's championship Friday at 7:05 p.m. Anderson and McLane will be courtside for the network. All five of those games, including the four semifinal games, will be streamed live and for free on SLC NOW. They will also be available on ESPN Full Court and ESPN360.com.
ESPN2 will televise the men's championship game Saturday at 3:05 p.m., Central. Lou Canellis and Mike Kelley will handle the national broadcast.
