Germany, MacIntosh & Bockhaus Named Southland Soccer Players of the Week
FRISCO, Texas - McNeese State freshman Johnna Germany was named Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week, while Southeastern Louisiana junior Kyle MacIntosh was selected as defensive player of the week and teammate Lacey Bockhaus earned goalkeeper of the week honors, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Offensive Player of the Week - Johnna Germany, McNeese State -
Winning her first offensive player of the week Award, Germany broke a 12-year single-game record when she recorded four assists in the 8-0 victory over Grambling. The Tyler, Texas native, produced assists on three of the Cowgirls' first four goals and scored her first career goal in the 44th minute. Germany ended the game with six points. In two matches last week, including a loss at Houston, the freshman averaged 0.5 goals, 2.0 assists, 3.0 points, 1.5 shots and 1.0 shot on goal.

Defensive Player of the Week - Kyle MacIntosh, Southeastern Louisiana -
After missing the opening week of the season, MacIntosh returned to earn defensive player of the week accolades when she played a key role in a pair of shutout victories over Troy and Alabama State. The junior from St. Catherines, Ontatrio, helped keep the Hornets without a shot on goal Sunday. The Lady Lions three consecutive shutouts to begin the season matched a school record set during the 2003 season.

Goalkeeper of the Week - Lacey Bockhaus, Southeastern Louisiana -
Bockhaus claims the goalkeeper of the week award after remaining perfect on the season afer posting two shutouts last week. On Friday, the San Leandro, Calif., native, had five saves in a 1-0 victory over Troy. With three shutouts this season, Bockhaus tied the school career record with 24 shutouts in her two-plus seasons in Hammond.

Each school's sports information director nominates and votes for the players of the week, though is not permitted to vote for his own player. To receive honorable mention, a player must receive votes from 25 percent of the Southland sports information directors.
