BEAUMONT, Texas - Justin Nabors scored 16 points and grabbed a career-high 24 rebounds to lift Lamar to 79-64 win over Louisiana College at the Montagne Center on Wednesday night.

Nabors collected his fourth double-double of the season as he and Kendrick Harris spearheaded a 27-7 run over the final 10:30 to turn a five-point deficit into a 15-point victory. Harris finished with a game-high 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including 12 in the second half and eight during the deciding run.

Lamar (4-6) shot 48 percent from the floor and grabbed a season-high 53 rebounds. The Cards held a 53-28 edge on the glass and scored 17 points on 21 offensive boards.

The 24 rebounds by the Lamar senior ties the most in a Division I game this season (George Odufuwa of North Texas vs. Cameron on Nov. 13) and is tied for the fourth-highest single-game total in school history.

Louisiana College (3-3) saw four players reach double figures in scoring, led by Korey Salmon's double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds. The Wildcats shot 43 percent and made six 3-pointers to stay close for much of the game.

Lamar used a 12-0 run late in the first half to claim a 36-28 lead at the intermission. The run came on the heels of an 11-4 stretch by Louisiana College that saw the Wildcats take a 28-24 lead with 6:16 remaining in the period.

The Cardinals ended the period on a 15-7 run and led 39-35 at the half. The 39 points were the most scored in an opening period for Lamar this season.

Anthony Miles added 13 for Lamar, while Charlie Harper pulled down 10 rebounds with his six points.

Lamar will be off for final exams and will not return to action until Dec. 19, when it plays host to long-time rival Louisiana-Lafayette at 7:05 p.m.
