FRISCO, Texas - Texas State quarterback Bradley George and linebacker Joe Bell were named the Southland Conference offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively, after guiding the Bobcats to a 28-7 victory over first-place Stephen F. Austin, the league office announced Monday. Central Arkansas kicker Eddie Carmona was named the conference's special teams player of the week after kicking four field goals at Southeastern Louisiana.
Offensive Player of the Week: Bradley George, Texas State
Texas State quarterback Bradley George tied a school record with 30 completions and threw for a season-best four touchdowns to lead Texas State to a 28-7 victory over No. 15/11 Stephen F. Austin. The senior from New Braunfels, Texas (Canyon), also recorded his fourth 300-yard passing game of the season with 303 yards. He completed 30-of-41 passes and helped Texas State win its third consecutive Southland Conference game.

Defensive Player of the Week: Joe Bell, Texas State
Texas State linebacker Joe Bell recorded 10 total tackles with five solo stops and assisted on 10 others tackles as Texas State held the nation's top scoring offense to a season-low seven points. In a 28-7 victory over Stephen F. Austin, the Bobcats allowed the Lumberjacks to convert only one of four tries in the red zone. One of the stops in the red zone came when Bell, a senior from Houston, Texas (Cypress Falls), forced a fumble and the Bobcats recovered on the Texas State 11-yard line. Bell also had 1.5 tackles for losses of five yards.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Eddie Carmona, Central Arkansas
Central Arkansas kicker Eddie Carmona set school record with four field goals in the 25-21 loss at Southeastern Louisiana. The junior from Charleston, Ark. (Charleston), also set the school record for consecutive field goals with 13 straight and hit a career-long 40-yard field goal in the final seconds of the first half. He also connected on 33, 34 and 36 yards against the Lions. This is Carmona's second special teams player of the week award this season. He previously shared the honor Oct. 12.
