Dunnigan captained the SFA back line to a 1-1 record to open the season. With her defensive command, the Ladyjacks shutout Oregon State to give SFA its first-ever win over a Pac-12 team in program history. The Ladyjacks also limited No. 9 Texas A&M to just one goal. The Round Rock, Texas (Vista Ridge H.S.), native played all 180 minutes of SFA’s two games.

Goalkeeper of the Week – Morgan Glick, Stephen F. Austin
Glick, a senior from Boerne, Texas (Champion H.S.), helped SFA to a 1-1 record to open the season. She stopped Oregon State from finding the back of the net for a 2-0 shutout win against the Beavers. In Sunday’s match against No. 9 ranked Texas A&M, she faced 35 shots and surrendered only one goal while making eight saves. In two matches, Glick only gave up only one goal while recording 10 saves on 39 shots.

Honorable Mention: Hope Sabadash, Southeastern Louisiana; Megan Delaney, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi; Bailey Fontenot, Lamar.

Each school’s sports information director nominates and votes for the players of the week, though is not permitted to vote for his or her own player. To receive honorable mention, a student-athlete must receive votes from 25 percent of the Southland sports information directors.
