FRISCO, Texas ? Nicholls State defensive back Lardarius Webb and McNeese State left guard Eman Naghavi were named to the Preseason All-America teams by the College Sporting News on Wednesday. Webb was named to the first team, while Naghavi earned third-team honors.

Webb, who previously was named a first-team All-American by The Sports Network, started all 11 games last season while registering 51 total tackles, five interceptions, including a school record three for touchdowns. The 5-foot-11, 206-pound senior from Opelika, Ala., was named a 2007 All-American by the Associated Press, Walter Camp Foundation and The Sports Network and was a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award.

Naghavi, a 6-foot-2, 300-pound guard from Katy, Texas, was an all-conference and all-Louisiana pick in 2007 after starting all 12 games at left guard. Now in his third season as a starter, he was credited with 29 pancake blocks and 30.5 knockdown blocks.
