Statement from the Southland Conference about the Nov. 14 Television Network Broadcast
"The Southland Conference Television Network's broadcast of the McNeese State at Texas State football game on Nov. 14 was repeatedly interrupted by technical issues throughout the contest. The network's satellite equipment on-site suffered an encoder malfunction that caused the game's transmission signal to fade in and out during the telecast. Unfortunately, once discovered, the problem could not be fully corrected during the game broadcast, and the on-site technician could only manage to minimize the signal's transmission problems during the game. We have been assured that a similar problem should not occur for future telecasts. The Southland Network strives to provide the highest quality of production values for its telecasts, and we deeply regret the problems this caused for our network affiliates and viewing audience."
