McNeese State Leads Women's Golf Tournament

LAKE CHARLES, La. ? McNeese State leads after two rounds of competition in the 2009 Southland Conference Women’s Golf Championship at the Lake Charles Country Club.

McNeese senior Lacy McKinley leads all players with a two-round score of 148. Teammate junior Trista Touchette is tied for second at 149. Junior Jacy Reynolds (157) and senior Maggie Welch (157) are knotted at 20^th and junior Jennifer Herrmann tied for 34^th (163).

Nicholls State freshman Brooke Braun and UTSA senior Allie Jordan tied at 73 to lead the first round. Braun’s 73 was a personal best this season.

UTSA senior Laura Baker and Texas State sophomore Adin Stromgren turned in the top mark for the second round at 73.

Tournament host and current leader McNeese State will attempt to win its first women’s conference tournament title on Wednesday.
