POSTGAME QUOTES
McNeese State Head
Coach - Natalie Poole
(On today's win)
"I was pleased about our performance today. We played them five times this
year and lost four of them so we knew we were going to have to swing it."
(On preparing for
Stephen F. Austin) "SFA is another
opponent that we struggled with this season. We're clearly going to have to do
some of the things we did here which was to play solid defense, pitch well and
make adjustments at the plate. If we do that, I think we'll be ok."
McNeese State freshman
pitcher Meagan Bond
(On the win)
"It was very exciting and I felt blessed about being able
to play in the Southland tournament."
Texas A&M-Corpus
Christi Head Coach - Jake Schumann
(On the game one loss)
"I thought we played our worst game of the season today.
We saved our worst for our last. McNeese pitched great, they got timely hitting,
which is something we didn't do. We were 0-5 the first five innings with runners
in scoring position with less than two outs. Bottom line is we did not execute
on the opportunities we had."
