POSTGAME QUOTES
UT Arlington Head Coach - Debbie Hedrick
(On today's win)
"We're very excited. I thought Kara threw a very good
ball game. WE made a couple of slip ups late in the game, so we just need to be
able to close it. I am proud of them, they didn't give up and hung tough and
intense. Kara had control all game long until Terry came in, and that was just
to change it up a little bit and add some momentum. I think they believe we can
win. We put any games before in the past and start over 0-0. We're just going
to come out and play UTA Maverick ball and it should be a great ball game.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Head Coach
- Jake Schumann
(On today's loss)
"We didn't play as well as we would have liked to have
played. We had been swinging the bats all year but we started off really slow.
We finally made some adjustments and put some pressure on them, but we just
came up short. They did what they needed to do to score three runs in the
second and that was good enough today."
