POSTGAME QUOTES
McNeese State Head Coach - Natalie Poole
(On today's win)
"No special approach in the
8th we just felt like if we can get the momentum from the first inning and on
and we will give ourselves a chance to win. I told our players toward the end
of the game that we just have to stay after it and hang in there and we need to
make sure that we close the door."
McNeese State freshman pitcher - Meagan Bond
(On today's win)
"I felt great out there
today. Coming in we knew it was going to be a pitcher's duel. It just came down
to the hitters having good at bats. I go
into every game with the same mentality approach being calm and confident. Just
take it one game at a time."
McNeese State senior infielder - Heather
Mosser
(On game-winning hit)
"It feels amazing. I haven't
had a hit all weekend and if that is the only hit that I have I will be
alright. Hopefully I will gain some confidence with it."
Texas State Head Coach - Ricci Woodard
(On today's loss)
"I actually thought it was a great ballgame. We didn't
swing the bats well enough to put any runs across the plate. It's impossible to
win if you don't score runs. Other than that I thought it was a great ballgame.
Both pitchers did well, and they capitalized on a mistake."
