Tickets Now On Sale for the 2011 Southland Softball Tournament

FRISCO, Texas - Tickets are now on sale for the 2011 Southland Conference Softball Tournament, which will be hosted by Sam Houston State at Bearkat Softball Stadium in Huntsville, May 12-14.

An all-tournament pass in reserved seating is $20, which allows entry into all 11 possible games of the tournament. An all-tournament pass for general admission seating is $15. An all day pass, which will include four games on Friday and Saturday with the maximum of three games on Sunday, is $10 for reserved seating and $7 for a general admission seat.

The double-elimination tournament will include the conference's top six teams. The winner of the tournament will receive the Southland Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

There will be a minimum of 10 games played during the three-day tournament. Game times the first two days of the tournament are 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Up to three games could be played Saturday, with the first game set for 10:30 a.m. and championship game is scheduled for 2 p.m. An 11th game will be played between the teams in Game 10 to determine the champion if it is the first loss for the losing team. Game 11 would start immediately following game 10.

All students of Southland Conference schools will receive free admission with a valid student ID, and all children ages five and younger will also be admitted free.

All 10 games of the tournament will be streamed live and for free on SLC NOW at Southland.org. The championship game will be televised by the Southland Conference Television Network and streamed on SLC NOW.
