Abilene Christian improved to 6-2 on the season after cruising by Texas A&M-Commerce 92-64 Tuesday evening. The Wildcats had five players in double figures, including freshman forward Suzzy Dimba, who posted a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. In other conference action, Houston Baptist dropped a nail-biter to Texas-Pan American, 76-74.
Abilene Christian 92, Texas A&M-Commerce 64
ABILENE, Texas – Abilene Christian had two clear goals before Tuesday night's non-conference game against Texas A&M-Commerce: control the Lady Lions on the glass and make free throws. The Wildcats were successful on both fronts and that helped the Wildcats roll to a 92-64 win over their former Lone Star Conference rival in women's basketball action at Moody Coliseum. The win pushes the Wildcats to 6-2 in their first season of NCAA Division I basketball, while Commerce falls to 0-6.

Texas-Pan American 76, Houston Baptist 74
HOUSTON, Texas – Houston Baptist led visiting Texas-Pan American by 20 entering halftime, but a furious second-half comeback by the Broncs resulted in a 76-74 UTPA victory Tuesday evening at Sharp Gym. HBU looked prime to snap UTPA’s 11-game winning streak in the all-time series, as the Huskies have not defeated the Broncs since a 64-51 victory at home on Feb. 15, 2001.
