Three Southland teams fell Wednesday evening in women’s basketball action with Stephen F. Austin coming up short against TCU, Oral Roberts losing to Missouri and Southeastern Louisiana falling to SMU. The Ladyjacks were able to take the halftime lead against TCU but were not able to hang on down the stretch, losing 60-52 to the Horned Frogs.
TCU 60, Stephen F. Austin 52
FORTH WORTH, Texas – The Stephen F. Austin women’s basketball team was attempting to hand the TCU Horned Frogs their first loss at home this season and came up just short. The Ladyjacks led at halftime 28-27 and limited TCU’s offense. In the second half, SFA could not contain TCU’s secondary scorer as the Horned Frogs pulled away for the 60-52 win.

Missouri 86, Oral Roberts 64
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Oral Roberts University gave a spirited effort on Wednesday night as they fell to a hot-shooting Missouri team, 86-64, at Mizzou Arena. Dorottya Balla led the Golden Eagles (1-6) with a career-high 15 points.

GARLAND, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana women’s basketball team was unable to get on track offensively Wednesday night, as SMU pulled away in the second half for an 82-39 win over the Lady Lions in non-conference action at the Curtis Culwell Center.
