BATON ROUGE, La. – Southeastern Louisiana freshmen Anna Bryukhova and Dany Raygadas won in both singles and doubles in play as the Lion tennis team earned a 4-0 victory at Southern Wednesday afternoon at University Courts.
 
Southeastern (10-4) won two doubles matches and three singles matches to earn the victory. Southern fell to 7-9 overall with the loss.
 
SLU took the doubles point with win on the top two courts. At No. 1, Bryukhova and junior Renee Villarreal moved to 4-2 as a team with a 6-0 victory over Darnesha and Gabriella Moore. Raygadas and sophomore Margaux Kaltenbacher (3-2) were too much for Southern’s Laura Syori and Kendall Bunch in a 6-2 win on the No. 2 court.
 
Playing on the No. 3 court, Raygadas joined Villarreal and freshman Madina Vorotnikova among Lions with double-digit singles victories. She improved to 10-3 this spring, as Amanda Materre retired down a set and 3-0 in the second set.
 
At No. 4, Bryukhova (4-9) snapped a four-match singles losing streak with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Gabriella Moore. Closing out the shutout was freshman Natalie Duran (3-0). The Cancun, Mexico native remained undefeated in singles play with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Camara Davis on the No. 6 court.
 
Southeastern will close out its 2014-15 home schedule this week, hosting Stephen F. Austin on Friday and Northwestern State on Saturday. First serve for both matches is set for 11 a.m.

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The New Orleans Privateers women's tennis team (10-7, 2-4 Southland) returned back to the court and delivered a 7-0 victory over the Lindenwood Lions (3-9, 0-4 MIAA) on Wednesday afternoon at the University Tennis Center.
 
The Privateers blitzed by their opponent on the day in doubles. Soledad Calderon Arroyo and Marta Sans posted an 8-0 victory while the #2 duo of Anna Segarra Rius and Anja Luethi also swept their way to victory. Hafsa Laraibi and Yasmine Rashad capped off a full sweep in doubles with an 8-2 victory.
 
In singles, each match was finished in straight sets and no player lost more than four games. Luethi swept past Daria Ivanova 6-0, 6-0. Laraibi also won her match while only dropping one game at the #6 spot. Wednesday marked the fourth time this season the Privateers swept every match and posted a 7-0 score line.
 
The Privateers return to conference play on Friday when they face Northwestern State. The match is scheduled for an 11 a.m. start.
