FRISCO, Texas – Central Arkansas sophomore outside hitter Haley Tippett and junior middle blocker Bryaunea Hall of UIW were named Southland Conference Volleyball Players of the Week, presented by UniversalCoin.com, the league announced Monday.
Offensive Player of the Week – Haley Tippett, Central Arkansas
Tippett led the Sugar Bears with an average of 3.83 kills on the week, hitting a blistering .435 on 46 attempts. The 6-foot sophomore had just three errors in 46 attempts and tallied three service aces. Against Southeastern La. on Thursday, Tippett tallied a match-high 10 kills and hit .348, but was even better against New Orleans on Saturday, with a match-high 13 kills while hitting .522 with a single error in 23 attempts. Central Arkansas currently ranks second in the conference with a .229 hitting percentage against Southland opponents.

Defensive Player of the Week – Bryaunea Hall, UIW
Hall was a key player on the UIW defense with three solo blocks and six block assists against Lamar. In the match against then-second place Houston Baptist, Hall added six more block assists and a solo block to lead the Cardinals for their second straight win. The six-foot-one-inch junior leads the Cardinals with 11 blocks solo on the year.
