Southland Basketball Tournament Tickets on Sale Now
FRISCO, Texas – Tickets for the 2017 Southland Conference Basketball Tournament, which will be held March 8-12 at the Leonard E. Merrell Center in Katy, Texas, are on sale now via Ticketmaster.
Reserved tickets for each session are $20 each, while general admission tickets are $15 apiece. Tickets for both the men’s and women’s championship games are $15 each for reserved seats and $10 each for general admission. Tickets for all men’s and women’s tournament games are available now at all Ticketmaster Outlets and Ticketmaster.com.
The tournament is being played at the Merrell Center in Katy for a 10th straight season.
“The Southland Conference is thrilled to return to Katy for a 10th consecutive year,” said Southland Commissioner Tom Burnett. “The City of Katy and the Merrell Center have proven excellent hosts and partners. We’re eager to return in March for another exciting five days of Southland basketball.”
Discounted tickets are available for groups of 10 or more. Group tickets to early sessions are $12 for general admission only. Group pricing for the championship games are $8 (general admission only). Fans interested in purchasing group tickets should call 972-422-9500, ext. 113.
The men’s tournament tips off Wednesday, March 8, with first-round games at 5 and 7:30 p.m., CT. Men’s second-round games will be played Thursday, March 9, at 5 and 7:30 p.m. and the semifinal games will be played Friday at 5 and 7:30 p.m. The men’s championship game will be played Saturday at 8:30 p.m. and be televised live on ESPN2. All other Southland Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament games will be featured on ESPN3.
Women’s first-round games will be played Thursday, March 9 at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Women’s second-round games will be played Friday, March 10, at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Semifinal games are scheduled for Saturday, March 11 at 1 and 3:30 p.m. The women’s championship game will be played Sunday, March 12 at noon. The championship contest will televised on the CBS Sports Network. All other Southland Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament games will be broadcast on ESPN3.
The winners of the conference men’s and women’s tournaments will earn the Southland Conference’s automatic bid into the 2017 NCAA tournaments. The NCAA Men’s Final Four will be held April 1 and 3 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Phoenix, while the NCAA Women’s Final Four will be held March 31 and April 2 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
