STATEMENT FROM SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE COMMISSIONER TOM BURNETT ON LINDA FLETCHER, COORDINATOR OF VOLLEYBALL OFFICIALS, WHO PASSED AWAY ON TUESDAY:
It is with great shock to have learned of Linda Fletcher’s passing, and our Southland Conference volleyball community is grieving this tragic loss.
Linda was the among the kindest persons anyone could ever encounter, and her spirit, humor and love for others was always evident in everything she accomplished. Her remarkable passion for the sport of volleyball at all levels, and the loyalty and love she blanketed her officials with, was unmatched.
We will greatly miss our friend and colleague Linda and the wonderful work she has done with the Southland Conference, its administrators, officials, coaches, student-athletes and so many others. May God Bless Linda and her many friends that were fortunate to know her.
