2017 Southland Indoor Track & Field Week Seven Recap
FRISCO, Texas – Southeastern Louisiana swept the men’s track and field athlete of the week awards after the last weekend of regular season indoor competition, the league announced Monday. Andre Colebrook earned his first weekly track honor of the season while Devin King was named the Field Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive time. Men’s Track Athlete of the Week – Andre Colebrook, Southeastern Louisiana
Colebrook captured first place in the 400-meter with a time of 47.81 seconds in his first time running the distance as a Lion at the LSU Twilight on Friday. That time is the fastest in the Southland this season. Colebrook later anchored the 4x400-meter relay that won in 3 minutes, 14.28 seconds. That time is third in the conference.

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week – Devin King, Southeastern Louisiana
King tied his school indoor record with a vault of 17-11.25 at the LSU Twilight on Friday. That mark is the best in the conference and ranks 10
th in the nation in 2017, while also clinching a berth in the NCAA National Championships for King. It was also his fifth straight win in the pole vault.
All Southland teams will now set their sights on the 2017 Southland Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships in Birmingham, Ala. this week.
