SFA’s Harris Shines Internationally to Claim Southland Weekly Honors
FRISCO, Texas – Stephen F. Austin guard/forward Kevon Harris is the Southland Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. Southland Conference Players of the Week are presented by
MidSouth Bank.
Harris recorded a double-double to help the Lumberjacks to a 66-51 win over Milwaukee in their final game of the Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic in Northern Ireland.

The junior knocked down 7-of-13 shots from the floor, tallying 15 points while pulling down 10 rebounds to fuel SFA’s 66-51 over the Panthers Saturday in Belfast. The double-double was the Lumberjacks’ first of the season and Harris’ scoring and rebound totals were each game highs.
A day earlier in Belfast, the Georgia native poured in a team-high18 points in SFA’s 76-58 setback to then-undefeated San Francisco.
Harris’ efforts in Europe earned him a spot on the Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic Goliath Bracket All-Tournament Team.
Saturday’s win marked the 1,500th win in program history for the ‘Jacks and first victory on international soil. SFA, now 5-2 on the season, returns to game action Friday when they host Louisiana Tech. The game will be broadcast nationwide on ESPN+ and via the ESPN app.
