FRISCO, Texas – Following the last regular-season games and resulting tiebreakers, the seeds and bracket for the 2021 Southland Conference Soccer Tournament have been finalized. Postseason play begins Wednesday, Nov. 3, at the Dr. Jack Dugan Family Soccer & Track Stadium in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The action begins at 1 p.m. CT Wednesday with No. 2 seed McNeese facing No. 7 seed Nicholls, who returns to the conference tournament for the first time since 2014. The Cowgirls, who ride a three-match win streak into tournament play, swept the Colonels by a 2-0 margin in each of a pair of regular-season meetings.

The winner of that match will face the winner between No. 3 UIW and No. 6 HBU. The showdown of Lone Star State institutions kicks off at 4 p.m. Wednesday. In the teams’ last meeting, the Cardinals claimed a 2-0 triumph in their home finale.

Northwestern State enters as the top seed after claiming the first regular-season title since 2000 with 30 points under first-year head coach Stuart Gore. The Lady Demons receive a bye into Friday’s semifinals and will face the winner of host and No. 4 seed Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and No. 5 seed Southeastern, the defending tournament champions.

The Lady Lions, who entered last season’s title run as the No. 5 seed as well, were bested 1-0 at home by the Islanders on Oct. 24 after a 1-1 draw at the site of the tournament back on Sept. 24.

All games will be streamed live on ESPN+, including Friday’s semifinals at 4 and 7 p.m. and Sunday’s 1:05 p.m. title match.
