FRISCO, Texas – The Southland Conference and INFLCR have agreed to a multi-year partnership to enhance the Southland Conference student-athlete experience by providing all Southland institutions and student-athletes with the technology and resources needed to support their opportunities related to name, image, and likeness (NIL).
INFLCR provides college athletic departments with the content delivery and compliance platform to assist NCAA athletics programs in the management and monitoring of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) activities. INFLCR’s Verified suite of products ensures student-athletes are provided the tools, content, financial literacy, and more to participate in monetization activities and other NIL opportunities.
“We are so pleased to partner with INFLCR to provide these exciting opportunities for our student-athletes,” Southland Commissioner
Tom Burnett said. “We saw the incredible interest at our member institutions and within their communities and wanted to take the lead in offering a platform our student-athletes can manage without taking away from their athletic and academic accomplishments.”
Through this partnership, Southland student-athletes will benefit from access to boundless amounts of multimedia content produced by the Conference office and member institutions. This content will be delivered through the INFLCR software and mobile app to enhance student-athlete brands by capitalizing on NIL opportunities through personal storytelling that they can share on their individual and team social-media channels. INFLCR Verified will also provide Southland student-athletes and athletic administrators with a plethora of educational, compliance, and financial resources to facilitate student-athletes monetizing their brands in a safe environment.
“We’re excited to bring INFLCR to all member schools across the Southland Conference,” INFLCR founder and CEO
Jim Cavale. “The conference is taking a leadership position that will benefit all student-athletes and we are proud to be there alongside them in this endeavor. Commissioner Burnett has long been seen as a thought leader in college athletics. To now provide athletes with the resources to be successful in the NIL era as well as the Southland Conference staff with the technology to monitor and ensure athletes are transacting safely will lead to great success and, ultimately, empowerment of student-athletes which is what this is all about.”
Along with the Southland Conference, INFLCR has partnered with the West Coast Conference, Missouri Valley Conference, Conference USA, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, the Atlantic 10 Conference, the Big Sky Conference, and numerous institutions such as Oklahoma, UCLA, Texas A&M, Duke, Kansas, North Texas, Georgia, Baylor, and future Southland member Texas A&M-Commerce.
