A&M-Corpus Christi's Mushila is opening Southland Men's Basketball Player of the Week of 2022-23
FRISCO, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi’s Isaac Mushila has been named the Southland Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the opening week of the regular season, as announced Monday by the conference office.
Offensive Player of the Week: Isaac Mushila, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi – F - Sr. – Lubumbashi, Congo (Spire Academy)
Mushila erupted with 22 points and 16 rebounds to guide the Islanders to a 75-55 victory over UTSA. On the week, he averaged 15.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game which included a season-opening game at Mississippi State. Mushila shot .625 from the floor over the two games and also tallied a pair of blocks. Mushila was one rebound shy of a career-high against UTSA.
