Lady Demons’ Todd Earns Second Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Award
FRISCO, Texas – Northwestern State’s Jordan Todd is the Southland Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. Southland weekly honors are presented by

Todd was the cornerstone for the Lady Demons’ 90-72 win against McNeese that snapped a five-game losing skid. The junior center was dominant at the basket scoring a career-high 28 points and pulling down 11 boards against the Cowgirls Saturday. The Eagle River, Alaska, native averaged 17 points and eight rebounds while shooting 68 percent (15-22) across two games. Todd sits tied atop the Southland Charts for field goal percentage (.543). She also ranks third in recording (5.3 rpg) and fourth in the league with 24 blocked shots.
This marks her second weekly award of the season and career. Northwestern State (10-10, 3-6 SLC) hits the road for a pair of games in the Lone Star State beginning with UIW on Thursday, Feb. 17 at 5:30 p.m., and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 1 p.m. on ESPN+.

Recording her fifth double-double of the season, Todd was dominant at the basket scoring a career-high 28 points and grabbing 11 rebounds against McNeese Saturday. The junior scored 13 points in the first quarter on 6-of-8 shooting, setting the stage for her monster afternoon. She finished the game going 13-for-17 (.765) from the field and added a pair of assists and blocks to cement her career day.
