Southeastern receiving votes in both polls

FRISCO, Texas – The Southland Conference is represented by UIW in the top 25 of both the Stats Perform FCS Poll and the American Football Coaches Association Poll after the third week of action in the 2022 season.

UIW moved up to a tie for No. 4 in the Stats Perform poll and No. 7 in the AFCA poll. The Cardinals were 31-14 winners at Prairie View A&M to move to 3-0 on the season.

After earning its first win of the season with a 70-6 rout of Central Connecticut State, Southeastern is still just outside of the top 25 of both polls, but is receiving votes and on the cusp of re-entering quickly. The Lions are 1-2 on the season.

These two teams start Southland play this week with UIW traveling to Hammond for a 6 p.m. kickoff on ESPN3.
