Southland Conference announces Fall 2022 Commissioner’s Honor Roll
FRISCO, Texas – The Southland Conference announced its 788 student-athletes from across 47 teams and five sports for the Fall 2022 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Fall sports from the Southland include football, men’s and women’s cross country, women’s soccer and women’s volleyball.

The Southland Fall Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) in the semester of their respective sport.
Of the 788 students named to the list, 20.3 percent (160) held a flawless 4.0 GPA throughout the fall term.
“Southland Conference student-athletes are high achievers academically and competitively and we’re always proud to celebrate their success,” Commissioner Chris Grant said. “As our student-athletes work toward graduation and life after sports, our conference and member institutions are always striving to support and enhance their success.”
Among the 10 Southland institutions, UIW led the way with 122 student-athletes on the fall honor roll, followed closely by McNeese with 103.
UIW football had the most honorees of any single team with 70, followed by 60 honorees from McNeese football.
Northwestern State led soccer honorees with 25, Southeastern led volleyball honorees with 17, A&M-Commerce had 14 men’s cross country honorees, and UIW, New Orleans, and Nicholls tied for the lead in women’s cross country with eight honorees apiece.
