Lamar's Sabria Dean wins her second SLC Women's Basketball Player of the Week award of the season
FRISCO, Texas – Lamar's Sabria Dean has won this week's SLC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday. This is Dean's second Player of the Week award in the first three weeks of the season.
Player of the Week: Sabria Dean, Lamar – Sr. – Mineola, TX (Mineola High School)
In two games down in St. Petersburg, Florida, Sabria Dean was named to the St. Pete’s Showcase All-Tournament team after averaging 16.5 points per game on 54.5% made from the field and knocking down all six of her free throws attempts. Dean scored a team-high 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting in a 56-44 win over the University of Texas-El Paso. Against Nebraska the next day, Dean poured in a team-high 19 points. This included 11 in the first half as she converted 7-of-11 from the field in the game.
