FRISCO, Texas – After leading the Lady Lions to a 3-1 week, Bailey Krolczyk and KK Ladner of Southeastern Louisiana won the Southland Conference Softball Player of the Week awards for the seventh week of the 2023 season were announced Monday by the conference office.

Hitter of the Week: Bailey Krolczyk, Southeastern - Jr. - C - Corpus Christi, Texas (Veterans Memorial HS)
Krolczyk was SLU's top hitter during a 3-1 week, posting a team-best .545 batting average and 1.091 slugging percentage. She was 2-for-3 with two RBI in the series-opening 5-2 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. She also hit a home run in the series finale. Her .400 batting average on the season leads the team.

Pitcher of the Week: KK Ladner, Southeastern - Jr. - RHP - Kiln, Miss. (Hancock HS)
Ladner finished 2-0 with a 1.11 ERA in a 3-1 week for SLU. She struck out seven in 2.2 innings of relief in a 4-2 win over ULM, then fanned 14 in 6.0 innings of work in SLU's 5-2 victory over AMCC. Her week was capped with four shutout innings of relief in Saturday's series finale. The Lady Lion ace leads the SLC with 102 strikeouts and has a league-best 1.34 ERA.
