FRISCO, Texas — Nicholls' Robert Brown III has earned this week's Jersey Mike's Southland Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week award, the conference office announced Monday.

Brown III made 14 three-pointers at a 67 percent clip in the Colonels' two wins this week, averaging 26.5 points and 5.5 rebounds. Brown made his first nine threes at UIW, finishing 9 of 10 for a career-high 37 points to go along with seven rebounds. Six of his threes were several feet behind the line and he was also 6 of 6 from the free throw line. He followed up with 5 of 11 threes for 16 points in the win over SFA while adding three steals. The 37 points at UIW are the most in an SLC game this season.
