FRISCO — The Southland Conference has announced the appointment of Gigi Assi as Chief of Staff, a key leadership position designed to enhance operational efficiency, strategic coordination, and executive support across the Conference.
In this role, Assi will work closely with Commissioner Chris Grant to manage and advance the organization’s administrative and strategic priorities. Additionally, she will direct conference-wide special projects, support financial and operational planning, and assist in the delivery of the league’s signature championships and events.
Prior to joining the Southland, Assi served as a senior leader with Renaissance Search & Consulting, where she led client services and executive search operations for organizations across the NBA, NFL, NCAA, Olympic teams, and global sports agencies. In this capacity, she was instrumental in driving revenue growth, guiding business development strategy, and expanding the firm’s footprint across the sports and entertainment industries.
