FRISCO, Texas — UIW graduate guard Davion Bailey has been named this week's Southland Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. This is Bailey's first Player of the Week nod this season and his second overall since playing in the Southland.

Bailey started the week by scoring a season high 25 points against Southern Indiana, shooting 53% from the field in the Cardinals win at the Boardwalk Battle. He followed it up knocking down seven 3-pointers against High Point, breaking that previous season high with a 30-point outburst. In those two games Bailey only registered two turnovers and earned a spot on the Boardwalk Battle All-Tournament team.
