Southland Conference Announces 2025-26 Men's Basketball Schedule

FRISCO, Texas — The Southland Conference announced its 2025-26 men's basketball schedule Wednesday, comprised of a 22-game round robin format.

The 12 teams will play 11 home and 11 away games, marking the largest number of contests in Southland Conference men's basketball history. Additionally, East Texas A&M is now eligible for NCAA postseason competition after the NCAA Division I Board of Directors approved full Division I membership status for the Lions during its meeting on June 23.

Conference play will start on December 1 when two-time defending regular season and tournament champion McNeese visits UIW in San Antonio, Texas. That contest marks the first of over 20 set to tip-off before the start of the new year. Saturday, January 3, 2026, marks the first full slate, beginning a schedule of competition that will consistently play out on Saturdays and Mondays. The regular season will come to an end on Monday, March 2, 2026.

The 2026 Jersey Mike's Southland Men's Basketball Championship presented by Explore Louisiana will be hosted at the Legacy Center in Lake Charles, La., March 8-11, 2026.
