FRISCO, Texas — UIW's Finley Evans, Southeastern's India Bennett and HCU's Peyton Fadal have earned this week's Jersey Mike's Southland Conference Volleyball Player of the Week awards, the league office announced Monday. Bennett is a second-time winner this season while Evans and Fadal earn recognition for the first time through the 2025 campaign. 

Offensive Player of the Week: Finley Evans, UIW – Sr. – OH – Frisco, Texas (Frisco Memorial High School)
Evans was the Cardinal leader in kills in both matches to open conference play. She tallied 36 kills, 22 digs, two blocks, two aces, and a .364 hitting percentage. In the Cardinals' come-from-behind win against ETAMU, Evans set new career highs in kills (24) and digs (20. In eight sets she averaged 4.5 k/s, 2.8 d/s, and 4.9 p/s.

Defensive Player of the Week: India Bennett, Southeastern – Sr. – MB – Prairieville, La (Dutchtown High School)
Bennett averaged 2.00 blocks per set in SLU's Southland Conference victories over McNeese and Nicholls. Aftter recording five blocks in Thursday's 25-18, 25-17, 25-19 win over the Cowgirls, she added seven blocks and helped the Lady Lions hold the Colonels to a .011 hitting percentage - the lowest by a Southeastern opponent in 2025. Bennett also contributed a team-high 11 kills in a 25-18, 25-10, 25-13 victory over Nicholls that extended SLU's winning streak to five matches.  

Setter of the Week: Peyton Fadal, HCU – So. – S – Baytown, Texas (Barbers Hill High School) 
Fadal guided the Huskies to a 2-0 start in SLC play with a pair of road sweeps. She averaged 11.5 assists per set with a career-high 43 assists in a three-set win at East Texas A&M and also hit .313 with seven kills to just two errors while also registering 14 digs and two blocks.
