FRISCO, Texas — SFA senior guard Keon Thompson has been named this week's Southland Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. This is Thompson's fourth time winning the award this season.

Thompson averaged 20.0 points per game on the week, including his tenth 20-point game of the season in a home win over McNeese. He averaged six rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in addition to producing a 2.8 assist-to-turnover ratio. Thompson also shot 88.9% from the stripe in 18 attempts. The wins last week have Thompson and the Lumberjacks positioned with a two-game lead for first in the conference standings with seven games remaining on the schedule.
