FRISCO – UTRGV first baseman Armani Raygoza and Northwestern State starting pitcher Dylan Marionneaux picked up the Southland Baseball Player of the Week awards for the sixth week of the 2026 season, which were announced Monday by the conference office.
Hitter of the Week: Armani Raygoza, UTRGV - R-Jr. - 1B - El Paso, Texas (Americas HS)
Raygoza became UTRGV's all-time leading home run hitter with first of two home runs Saturday at HCU. His second home run Saturday traveled 469 feet and cleared the HCU scoreboard, while his home run Friday gave UTRGV the lead. Raygoza had a season-high five RBI Saturday. For the weekend, Raygoza hit .429 with three home runs, nine RBI, OPS of 1.358, and five runs scored in 3-game conference road sweep of reigning SLC Tourney Champ HCU.

Pitcher of the Week: Dylan Marionneaux, Northwestern State? - Jr. - RHP - Zachary, La. (Zachary HS)
Marionneaux fired the second complete game of his career against New Orleans on Saturday, scattering seven hits, while striking out six and limited the Privateers to an 0-for-4 mark with runners in scoring position. It was his second complete game in a year against the Privateers with it coming on the one-year anniversary of his two-hit shutout at UNO last year. Marionneaux retired seven of the final eight hitters he faced while throwing his 103-pitch complete game.
