FRISCO, Texas — The Southland Conference has shifted previously scheduled game times for the upcoming bracket rounds of the 2026 Southland Softball Championship due to anticipated inclimate weather.
Games Thursday through Saturday will now be played at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m at both host sites of Hammond and Lake Charles. This is a change from the previously scheduled times of 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. for the first three days of play in Lake Charles and 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. for the contests in Hammond. Sunday games at both sites contingent on Saturday's results will be played at 1 p.m. if necessary.
Bracket play in Hammond opens up with No. 4 UIW facing No. 5 Lamar while regular season champion No. 1 Southeastern meets No. 8 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Meanwhile in Lake Charles, No. 2 McNeese faces No. 7 SFA and No. 3 Nicholls takes on No. 6 Northwestern State. All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
