FRISCO, Texas – A total of 11 Southland Conference football alumni are currently on NFL rosters in 2021. Below is an update on all active players. Click on each player's name to access updated stats.

Robert Alford (Southeastern) - Arizona Cardinals
In his third season with the Cardinals, the first Lion drafted in the NFL had 37 combined tackles, four pass breakups and an interception before missing the final four weeks due to injury. Alford tallied a season-high seven tackles in a week 14 start against the Rams. Prior to signing with Arizona, he racked up 303 tackles and 10 interceptions over 88 games for the Falcons from 2013-18. 

Davion Davis (Sam Houston) - Houston Texans
The Southland Conference all-time leader in receiving touchdowns (40), Davis was signed to the Texans roster off the Browns' practice squad on Oct. 5 and made his debut in week 13 against the Colts. He made his first catch in week 14 before exiting with an injury requiring season-ending surgery.

John Franklin-Myers (Stephen F. Austin) - New York Jets
The First-Team All-Southland defensive lineman from 2016 started 16 games in his second year with the Jets and finished with 35 tackles, 14 QBH, six TFL and six sacks. In a week 12 win over the Texans, he tallied two sacks and recorded his first career interception. Franklin-Myers inked a four-year, $55 million extension on Oct. 7. 

Caleb Johnson (HBU) - Chicago Bears
The first HBU football student-athlete to sign an NFL contract, Johnson appeared in 14 games for the Bears in his rookie season, primarily on special teams. He finished with eight combined tackles and a fumble recovery. 

Ty Nsekhe (Texas State) - Dallas Cowboys
In his eighth season in the NFL, Nsekhe signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys on March 22, 2021. He has appeared in 12 games for Dallas this season, including at least 20 offensive snaps in four of the last five weeks of the regular season.

George Odum (Central Arkansas) - Indianapolis Colts
In his fourth season with the Colts, the 2017 Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Year set career-highs in starts (seven), tackles (55) and solo tackles (45). He recorded all seven starts over the final 10 weeks of the season and tallied a season-high nine tackels in week 16 against the Cardinals. Odum also registered the second interception of his career against Buffalo in week 11. 

Derick Roberson (Sam Houston) - Tennessee Titans
In his third season with the Titans, the 2018 unanimous First-Team FCS All-American has made 11 total tackles with four QBH, three TFL and 1.5 sacks in five games this season.

Robert Rochell (Central Arkansas) - Los Angeles Rams
The highest drafted player out of Central Arkansas, Rochell was selected by the Rams in the fourth round (130th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He had 14 total tackles,four pass breakups, an interception and a fumble recovery before missing the final five weeks due to injury. Rochell logged 95 percent of the defensive snaps in week six with a season-high five tackles and his first career interception.

Tremon Smith (Central Arkansas) - Houston Texans
In his first season with the Texans, the three-time First-Team All-Southland honoree appeared in all 17 games, averaging 25.4 yards per kick return on 21 attempts and racking up 21 combined tackles on defense. Smith recorded his first career kickoff return for a touchdown in week 15 against the Jaguars and earned the start on defense the next week, finishing with a season-high four tackles. 

Diontae Spencer (McNeese) - Denver Broncos
The 2013 Southland Conference all-purpose yards leader (1,895) recently completed his third season as the Broncos' primary punt returner, averaging 7.9 yards per return on 26 attempts in 15 games. Spencer also averaged 17.1 yards per return on 17 kickoff returns to finish with 494 all-purpose yards.
