Maggie Collins was recently elevated to Director of Championships. Her role continues to evolve as officials liaison & sport oversight have been added to her responsibilities.
She currently serves as the primary sport administrator for Women's Volleyball and Beach Volleyball. She is the secondary sport administrator for, Cross Country, Indoor Track & Field and Outdoor Track & Field.
Collins joined the SLC as the Assistant Director of Communications and Broadcast and has also served as the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications, Assistant Director of Conference Operations, and most recently, the Director of Internal Operations.
Collins came to the Southland from Childress High School, where she served as the Head Girls & Boys Cross Country Coach as well as an assistant girls basketball and track and field coach. She taught Physical Education, College, Career & Military Readiness as well as serving as the Dual-Credit Instructor in Psychology and Sociology.
Prior to Childress ISD, Collins served as a Graduate Assistant for Compliance at Southwestern Oklahoma State for over two years. Collins provided academic advisement for all student-athletes and monitored eligibility.
As an undergraduate student at SWOSU, Collins also served as a worker for both sports information and external affairs, assisting with all athletic events on gameday as well as fundraising activities.
Collins received her bachelor's at Southwestern Oklahoma State in exercise science and went on to receive a Masters in Sports Management from SWOSU.
