Chris Mycoskie serves as the Associate Commissioner for Broadcast and New Media after originally joining the conference in March 2011, serving as both Director and Assistant Commissioner of Television and Electronic Media in that time. 
 
Mycoskie has a strong background in television production, on-air game announcing duties, and has served as a sports news anchor and reporter at numerous television stations. In his Southland role, he acts as executive producer for all league productions. He labors to improve production quality and ultimately ensure the broadcasts serve the needs of member institutions.
 
Additionally, Mycoskie works to develop other television broadcast opportunities for the league, and oversees the conference's video streaming efforts through the Southland Conference Digital Network. He also heads the league office’s social media planning and execution. 

Mycoskie also has a lead role in the Southland's softball administration, working with the league’s coaches and providing guidance throughout the year.
 
A native of Arlington, Texas, Mycoskie earned his bachelor's degree at Southeastern Louisiana University and also attended the University of Missouri. His TV career included stops as a sports anchor/reporter at WVLA-TV in Baton Rouge, La., and KTVE-TV in Monroe, La. He also served as a news reporter at WOI-TV in Des Moines, Iowa, and KOMU-TV in Columbia, Mo.
 
Dallas-area sports fans heard him as a host and reporter on ESPN Radio 103.3 KESN-FM. He's also held various broadcast roles for Southeastern Louisiana University, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the NBA's New Orleans Hornets. Mycoskie was a sideline reporter for the Southland TV Network for two seasons prior to joining the conference full-time. 
 
Mycoskie lives in McKinney with his wife Cassie and son Austin.
