FRISCO, Texas – With the additions of UTRGV and Stephen F. Austin into the Southland Conference, the league announced an updated 2024 football schedule on Thursday. 
 
SFA will compete immediately in the Southland in 2024 with UTRGV starting their program in 2025. The additions bring the Southland Football to nine teams in 2024 and 10 teams in 2025.

This is the first season where the FCS will move to 13 weeks and a 12-game season. 

A previously scheduled non-conference contest between SFA and Texas A&M-Commerce will remain on the schedule as a non-conference game and will not count toward the conference standings.
