FRISCO, Texas — UIW's Davion Bailey has earned this week's Jersey Mike's Southland Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week award, the conference office announced Monday.  

Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Davion Bailey, UIW – Gr. – G – Indianapolis, Ind.
Bailey had arguably had the best start in UIW history, breaking two records in most points and most field goals, scoring 41 points on 17 made field goals against Cal Baptist. He followed that up with a 15-point performance against Southwestern, bringing his total to 56 points for the week, the most in the SLC. He finished the week shooting 58% from the field and 56% percent from the three.
