FRISCO, Texas — UTRGV's Cliff Davis has earned this week's Jersey Mike's Southland Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week award, the conference office announced Monday.

?Davis hit 14 3-pointers in one game, the most in NCAA Division I in six years, a program record and a Southland Conference record, leading the Vaqueros in a 106-56 victory over the College of Biblical Studies Ambassadors. He finished with a career-high 42 points, tied for the second-most in NCAA Division I this season. Davis helped the Vaqueros set a new program record with 24 three-pointers hit as a team, the most in NCAA Division I in three years. Davis also helped the Vaqueros defeat Southern Utah 78-73, for their first win over the Thunderbirds in program history.
