FRISCO, Texas – Lexi Alexander of Nicholls has been named the SLC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday. She is the first Colonel to earn this recognition in 2023-24.
Women's Player of the Week: Lexi Alexander, Nicholls – So. – Round Rock, TX (Cedar Ridge HS)
The sophomore forward averaged a double-double of 20.5 points and 12 rebounds this week. In the win over Texas A&M-Commerce, she posted a career-high 28 points while shooting 50% from the field. She added 15 rebounds including seven on the offensive end of the floor to claim her third double-double in the last four contests. In the game against UIW Alexander scored 13 points and nine rebounds. Alexander ranks fifth in the SLC in scoring (13.9 points per game), and second in total points this season (376).
