FRISCO, Texas – Southeasetern guard Roscoe Eastmond has been named the Southland Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week as announced Monday by the conference office. Eastmond becomes the first Southeastern player to earn player of the week honors this season and the first since Gus Okafor in 2022.

Eastmond was the key cog that led Southeastern to two huge wins on the week, including ending the longest win streak in the country. He averaged 14 points on 45.5% shooting while hitting 42.9% from three with 8.5 assists in the two games. Eastmond had his second double-double of the season on Monday against HCU where he scored 13 points with 12 assists, tying the sixth-most assists in a single game in SLU program history. He followed that up with 15 points and five assists in the upset over McNeese where 13 of his points and two of his assists came in the second half as SLU held off a furious Cowboy rally to hand McNeese its first SLC loss, ending their 14-game win streak in the process
