FRISCO, Texas – Hailey Giaratano of Southeastern Louisiana has been named the SLC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday. Giaratano is the second Lion from Hammond to win the award this year, after teammate Jalencia Pierre won it three weeks ago.

Hailey Giaratano starred for the Lions as Southeastern went 2-0 last week. First, she scored a career high 27 points with seven rebounds Thursday evening in the matchup versus UIW. Giaratano shot 48.0 percent from the field and went 6-8 from the free throw line. Saturday, the senior added another 12 points, three assists and went 6-6 from the line to help Southeastern progress to 9-1 in conference. Giaratano has scored in double-digits in 17 out of 21 games this season.
