FRISCO, Texas — The Southland Conference announced its men's basketball schedule for the 2024-2025 season Friday, showcasing several changes with SFA and UTRGV joining as new members. 

The additions bring Southland Basketball to 12 teams this upcoming season, marking the most competitors in the league since the 2020-21 campaign. Each institution will 20 games, the largest number of contests since the 2002-03 season. Those matchups consist of 10 home and 10 away games apiece. 

Conference play will start in December with all teams getting two games in that month. When the calendar turns to January, games will be consistently played on Saturdays and Mondays, starting on Saturday, January 4, and going until Monday, March 3. 

The Southland Men's Basketball Championship will be hosted at the Legacy Center in Lake Charles, La., March 9-12 2025.
