FRISCO, Texas — McNeese's Javohn Garcia has earned this week's Jersey Mike's Southland Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week award, the conference office announced Monday.
Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Javohn Garcia, McNeese – Sr. – G – Columbus, Ohio (Brewster Academy)
Garcia averaged 25.0 points per game in helping McNeese go 2-0 on the week. He started with a career-high 26 points in a convincing win over Southeastern then followed that with a 24-point outing at East Texas A&M. He connected on 16 of 27 from the field and 4-9 from three as the Cowboys extended their winning streak to four games.
