NATCHITOCHES — Weather moved up three of the four championship matches set to take place Saturday in Natchitoches, La. But one contest and one spot in November's ITA Conference Masters Championship remained and that would come from the Southland Men's Singles bracket. 

No. 1 seed Alejandro Hernandez of UIW took on No. 2 Leon Nickel of Lamar following their triumphs on Friday. However, the Cardinals' star emerged victorious in Saturday's matchup. Hernandez bested Nickel 6-3, 6-2 to secure a championship victory. 

Hernandez earns a spot in the ITA Masters set to begin on November 6 in San Diego Calif.
