FRISCO, Texas — HCU's Bryson Dawkins has been named this week's Jersey Mike's SLC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Dawkins had a tremendous week for HCU, averaging 29.5 points and 7.5 rebounds over two games. He had a career night on Monday to help HCU secure a spot in the postseason and earn its first-ever season sweep of SFA. Dawkins became just the 10th individual to post 40 points or more in school history, getting a career-high 41 while also establishing a new personal best with his 10 boards as he recorded the first double-double of the campaign for the Huskies. His 16 FGM, 22 FGA, 11 3FGA, and two blocked shots were also career-highs. Followed that up with an 18-point, five-carom outing in a tough loss at Northwestern State on Saturday.
