RV/RV SFA 35, Cal Poly 17
A 21-point third quarter, sparked by a 36-yard interception return touchdown by junior linebacker
Malachi Williams within the first minute of the half, propelled Stephen F. Austin to a 35-17 win over Big Sky opponent Cal Poly on Saturday night at Jimmy W. Murphy Field inside Homer Bryce Stadium. All three phases scored in the victory as the ‘Jacks evened their record to .500, closing the non-conference portion of the 2025 slate. Williams’ pick-six was SFA’s second non-offensive score of the night and its third defensive touchdown in the last two weeks. Earlier,
Kylon Harris flipped the field and broke free for a 65-yard punt return touchdown—the second of the season for the ‘Jacks—with under six minutes left in the first half, giving SFA a lead it would not relinquish.
